| Tea Treasures is very impressed with the new Zarafina Teamaker. It's a nice
specialty tea system for someone who doesn't want to have to think too much
and still enjoy high quality tea. We especially like the high quality
components. The infuser works well and comes apart for easy cleaning (not
dishwasher safe). We like the contemporary design. The engineering of the
Zarafina is very interesting because it has swells of heating to keep the
temperature the same during the steeping time.

Drawbacks to be aware of:
The herbal setting does not boil the water, so we recommend you set herbal
teas to the black setting on strong. The recommendation for black tea is one
scoop (provided). We recommend two scoops for most black teas. Since you
won't have control over the temperature of the water, if you desire the tea
to be stronger, we recommend using more tea.
The Zarafina is designed to prepare the tea and then immediately serve it on
the tray which is included. It does not keep the teapot hot. When the tea is
ready, the light blinks, but there is not an alarm to let you know. Several
times I've fixed the tea, turned it on, and then forgotten so that when I
return to the Zarafina my tea is cold. There's just not a way to prepare tea
without thinking a little bit! Owner of Tea Treasures and Tea Embassy, Carol, comments, "I have many choices for making tea here at

plain fun."
